Test Preparation Resources
Study Companions familiarize you with the competencies to be tested, test question formats, and pertinent study resources. There is a Study Companion available for all of the GACE® assessments, with the exception of the GACE Teacher Leadership assessment and the Georgia Ethics assessments.
Tests at a Glance give you a quick overview of the assessment. A Test at a Glance is available for all of the GACE assessments, with the exception of the GACE Teacher Leadership assessment and the Georgia Ethics assessments.
Interactive Practice Tests (IPTs) are full-length practice tests. Each IPT allows you to answer one set of test questions to simulate what you will experience on the day of the test. After you complete the practice test, you can see if you answered the selected-response questions correctly or incorrectly and get explanations for the correct answers. Some IPTs also include practice constructed-response questions. Feedback is not provided for constructed-response questions.
Note: The GACE Study Companions, Tests at a Glance, and IPTs are the only GACE study materials endorsed by the GaPSC. Other preparation materials may not accurately reflect the content of the assessment or the policies and procedures of the GACE program.
Tutorials walk you through how to use the Alternate Character Toolbar for the French, German, and Spanish assessments and the Online Calculator for assessments that require the use of a graphing or scientific calculator, allowing you to practice using these tools before test day.
Test Familiarization Videos provide information about how to get ready to take a test and what it's like to take a test.
Webinars walk candidates and teacher preparation faculty through the different parts of the GACE assessments, inform participants about available test preparation resources, and give them the opportunity to ask questions and have them answered by ETS-certified trainers.
Strategies and Tips includes booklets and guides to help you prepare to take the GACE assessments. A study plan is also available to help you understand what skills and knowledge are covered on the test and where to focus your attention.
